Main Street Strolls

What a beautiful summer to stroll! On the third Thursday of the month from May through August, we met some fun dogs – and their owners, too. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table to donate, look for an adoptable friend or just buy a gift for one!

Dog Day Afternoon

Thank you to the staff of TownePlace Suites Marriott in North Kingstown, especially organizer Lucy Metz, for an event that put the FUN in fundraiser! On August 16th, they put on carnival games, BBQ and raffle prizes to raise money for our homeless animals.

Puppies, Pageant Queens & Popcorn

What’s better than Puppies, Pageants Queens, Popcorn, and Cats & Cotton Candy? We were joined by famous charitable dog Brandi and her friends at The Brandi Project on Saturday, July 18, 2015 during our Adoption Hours. Special guests of the day also included Miss Rhode Island (America) Alexandra Curtis and Miss Rhode Island Outstanding Teen (America) Catarina Girardi, who graciously signed autographs & cuddled puppies! Adopters snacked on the treats of Frenchy’s Popcorn, and the day ended with a fashion show of kids and pups brought to us by the Groovy Gator of Newport. Thanks to all our supporters for a fun day!

Memorial Day Parade

There was a great turn-out of our adopted dogs and their new families on Memorial Day! They walked with us and our adoptable dogs down Main Street for the annual Memorial Day Parade. Thank you to all who helped us introduce our dogs and our greater EGAPL family to the Town of East Greenwich!

Spring and Summer Bake Sales

We had a great turn-out for our Spring Bake Sale on April 18th and Summer Bake Sale on June 18th! We received donations of some tasty and even creative human treats, and we met some owners of lucky pets who picked up toys for their furry friends throughout the day. Thank you for helping us raise funds for our animals – we’re looking forward to our next trip to the Warwick Mall on October 17th!

Raise the Woof

THANK YOU to the Comedy Connection for their “Raise the Woof” fundraiser for our Capital Campaign on March 18th! They put on a great show, allowed us to showcase adoptable puppies, and raised much-needed funds for our building fund. Be sure to check out Comedy Connection at
