Please remain calm after stumbling upon Zava and his adoption plea. He is an absolutely delicious puppy who will likely grow into a medium sized adult. We say “mixed breed” because apparently the paperwork requires us to put something in that box.
Zava does not concern himself with labels.
Zava does not have a breed. Breeds have Zava.
Like his Ted Lasso namesake, Zava carries himself with the quiet humility of someone who believes his presence alone may have fundamentally changed the organization.
Zava does not walk into a room. The room receives Zava.
Zava does not chase tennis balls. Tennis balls wait patiently for the opportunity to be chosen.
Zava does not seek attention. Attention finds Zava and considers itself fortunate.
Underneath all this international superstar energy, however, is still a baby. He needs a family ready for puppy training, socialization, exercise, routines, patience, and the occasional reminder that enlightenment does not exempt you from learning where to pee. We’re all a work in progress, right?!
His future family will get laughter, companionship, puppy chaos, and the extraordinary privilege of watching Zava grow into the magnificent dog he has absolutely no doubt he already is.
Do not ask yourself whether you are ready for him.
Ask whether Zava has decided you are ready.
