TUX HAS BEEN WAITING SINCE JANUARY FOR A FOREVER HOME, AND WE ARE OFFICIALLY OUT OF EXPLANATIONS.
Tux is sweet. He loves other dogs. He is handsome enough to have his own calendar, and his ears appear to have been designed by someone working without a budget.
Eight months later, he is still here. Naturally, we assumed there had to be a reason.
Perhaps Tux has terrible credit.
Maybe he’s involved in a pyramid scheme.
Maybe he claps when the plane lands (that is truly unforgivable).
We have investigated extensively.
Nothing.
The most controversial thing about Tux is that he can be shy when he first meets someone new. That’s it. That’s the scandal. He likes a minute to decide you’re trustworthy before handing over his entire heart, which seems considerably healthier than most of our dating histories.
Once you’re in, though, you’re IN.
Tux becomes affectionate, devoted, silly, and incredibly loving. We’ve had eight months to watch this boy come out of his shell, make dog friends, and show us exactly how wonderful he is.
What we haven’t gotten to watch is him leave with his family. Meanwhile, those ears have been reporting for duty every single morning with absolutely no return on investment.
