Rhode Island, dig out your low rise jeans. We have a situation. Who remembers Tropical Gangsters?! That fabulous little clothing boutique at 375 Thames Street in Newport? The dresses, the shoes, and the outfits you absolutely did NOT need but somehow couldn’t leave without? For 35 years, Tropical Gangsters was part of Newport’s shopping scene before closing in 2015.
Naturally, we named a puppy after the boutique. THIS WAS AN ADMINISTRATIVE ERROR OF HISTORIC PROPORTIONS.
Meet Tropical Gangster. He is a very handsome pup that is already campaigning for the return of butterfly clips, platform shoes, and jeans so low rise they require a municipal permit. We don’t hate it.
But behind all this ridiculousness is a little puppy whose beginning was anything but glamorous. Tropical Gangster is one of eight beautiful Pit mix puppies born into heartbreaking conditions in Texas. Their parents were chained, and the family was living without running water or electricity. These babies deserved so much better than the circumstances they were born into. Thankfully, people stepped in to give them a chance. And now, our little fashion criminal is getting ready for a brand new life in Rhode Island. ❤️
Tropical Gangster is sweet, social, adorable, and ready for a family who understands that puppies need patience, training, socialization, and plenty of love. HIS BUSINESS PLAN IS A DISASTER. HIS FACE BELONGS ON A BILLBOARD.
