Oggie is 1 year old and is approximately 53 pounds, although we reject this number on both scientific and emotional grounds.
There is simply no way. That is a tiny baby man.
We have looked at him.
We have held meetings.
We have reviewed the evidence.
Tiny. Baby. Man.
It is possible that Oggie seems smaller because he could stand to gain a little weight.
It is also possible that once you look into his enormous, soft, heart melting eyes, your brain immediately overrides all available data and categorizes him as: BABY.
Oggie has the sweetest face. And we need you to understand that we are not saying sweetest face in the casual way people say that about dogs.
We mean his face is creating operational problems. You look at him and immediately begin speaking in a voice you would be absolutely HUMILIATED for another adult to overhear.
Ohhhh, excuse me, sir. Is dat your wittle FACE?
Then you realize a coworker is standing behind you. Nobody speaks. They heard everything. You both agree never to discuss it again.
Oggie also has a little nubbin tail. This has not improved the situation. If anything, the nubbin has significantly weakened staff resolve.
Because when Oggie gets happy, the little nubbin gets involved. And frankly, there are limits to what rescue workers should reasonably be expected to withstand during a shift.
Oggie is sweet, gentle, dog friendly, wildly lovable, and whoever adopts him is going to be insufferably lucky.
We mean that sincerely.
This is the kind of dog you meet and immediately start imagining in your house, sleeping on your couch, and doing the tiny nubbin wiggle because you came home. PLEASE COME TO MEET HIM!
