OFFICIAL TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: MARTA PAWTA HAS NAMED HERSELF CAPTAIN
Marta is a kitten who has never once questioned whether she was qualified to be in charge.
She assumed someone might eventually notice but she didn’t seem to care.
We’ve reviewed the game footage.
It happened almost immediately after she entered the bolding.
A toy appears.
Marta inspects it first.
A wrestling match breaks out.
Marta arrives to officiate.
Someone discovers a cardboard box.
Marta has already claimed home field advantage.
Confidence has NEVER been her problem.
She’s fearless in the way only tiny kittens can be.
She climbs first, calculates the landing later.
If her siblings hesitate for even half a second, Marta interprets this as an invitation to demonstrate the correct technique.
She calls it leadership. We’re not sure what to call it at this point.
We’ve also noticed that Marta possesses the unique ability to convince everyone else that her ideas are excellent.
Despite her impressive coaching résumé, Marta is wonderfully affectionate, endlessly entertaining, and somehow manages to squeeze all that confidence into one tiny, fluffy little body.
Applications are now open for the position of captain of your home/family.
Qualifications include:
A healthy appreciation for bold leadership.
Plenty of toys for mandatory training sessions.
A willingness to applaud even the most unnecessary victories.
Accepting that, from this day forward, Marta will be wearing the captain’s armband and it’s non negotiable
