KAHAN

Kahan has been through more than most cats ever should. After being hit by a car, he lost one of his front legs. He is also FIV positive and the tip of one of his ears is adorably tipped. Before you let any of that define him, here’s what you should know. FIV is not a death sentence. Cats with FIV often live long, happy, completely normal lives. It cannot be passed to people, and it is primarily spread between cats through deep bite wounds, not by peacefully sharing a home. And despite that ear tip, we can tell you this: Kahan is definitely not feral. He may be cautious and he may need a minute to decide you’re safe but this is a cat who is absolutely yearning to be touched and loved. That’s Kahan. Not “the FIV cat” or “the three-legged cat.” Kahan. Sweet, gentle, quiet, and brave.
