OFFICIAL UPDATE: JAMESON HAS FINALLY LEARNED IT’S SAFE TO SLEEP.
When Jameson first arrived, we thought he might be deaf. No matter how much noise was happening around him, he just kept sleeping.
We would call his name.Nothing.
We would gently try to wake him. Nothing.
Then we realized something that broke our hearts.
This may have been the first time in his 5 month old life that he had ever felt safe enough to truly rest.
Before coming to us, Jameson was found starving on the side of the road. He was exhausted, emaciated, and so neglected that he couldn’t even bring himself to make eye contact with people.
Today, that’s no longer the puppy we know.
These days, Jameson is discovering that gentle hands exist. That people can be kind. That toys are fun. That full bellies and cozy naps are things he can count on.
He’s still a little shy when meeting someone new, but once he decides you’re safe, you’ll meet one of the softest, sweetest little souls we’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. The kind of puppy who quietly leans into you and reminds you exactly why rescue matters.
Jameson has finally learned how to rest. Now we’re hoping he’ll learn what it’s like to finally be home.
