Groovy Gator was a beloved children’s boutique created by Leslie Cathers, whose family has touched countless lives in our community.
We chose the name to honor the Cathers family and celebrate the life of Jake Cathers, who passed away last Christmas.
Jake was a devoted coach, successful businessman, passionate advocate for children and families, and, above all, someone who made the people around him feel important.
On what would have been his birthday week, we couldn’t think of a sweeter way to remember him than by giving a little rescue puppy a name filled with so much meaning.
And this little girl has a bright future ahead of her! She’s affectionate, adorable, and ready to discover everything life has to offer. Preferably with a family who understands that a puppy named Gator may occasionally consider their shoelaces a legitimate food group.
A LITTLE PUPPY CARRYING A BIG LEGACY. Now all Groovy Gator needs is a family to write the next chapter of her story.
