GERARD DEPAW-DIEU HAS BEEN GETTING BY ON HIS GOOD LOOKS. And quite frankly, we have done absolutely nothing to discourage this behavior.

He is a Pit Bull mix who has somehow made it this far in life without acquiring a single marketable skill beyond being outrageously handsome.

The spots. The smile. The ears that appear to be operating independently of one another. It’s an impressive portfolio.

Gérard has the unmistakable air of someone who has never paid a bill, never worked a day in his life and has absolutely no intention of changing either of those things.

We recently attempted to discuss his future responsibilities, including basic manners, training and the general understanding that not everything within reach belongs to him.

He seemed interested.

Then someone told him he was handsome and we lost him completely.

Unfortunately for Gérard, being ridiculously adorable does not eliminate the responsibilities that come with raising a puppy. His future family will need patience, consistency, a sense of humor and the willingness to explain approximately 600 times why the throw pillows are not toys.

In exchange, they’ll get a sweet, entertaining little companion who will grow up knowing he’s loved for considerably more than his looks.

Although we suspect he’ll continue using those looks whenever possible.

Gérard is ready for a family of his own, and we would strongly encourage interested applicants to act before he discovers he can negotiate his own adoption terms.

We are already at a disadvantage.
