Demi has the general energy of someone who woke up late for a meeting she scheduled herself.
She is busy. There are shelves to climb. Toys to attack. Bags to inspect. Containers to enter without authorization. Staff members whose work desperately needs the assistance of a tiny cat with absolutely no relevant experience.
Demi approaches each day with a packed calendar and no intention of explaining it to anyone.
She is petite, ridiculously adorable and just strange enough to keep you entertained. One minute she is sweetly watching you. The next she has launched herself across the room because something invisible apparently required immediate intervention.
Other cats have arrived and gone home. Demi has watched them leave while she continues waiting for someone to finally choose her.
Demi has tested faint positive for FIV, which may be causing potential adopters to overlook her. FIV positive cats can live long, happy lives with routine veterinary care, good nutrition and an indoor lifestyle. FIV cannot be transmitted to people or dogs and is primarily spread between cats through deep bite wounds, not through sharing bowls, litter boxes, grooming or snuggling.
Demi, meanwhile, remains completely unconcerned with her medical résumé.
She has things to do and she would really like to start doing them in your house.
After spending so much of her first year with us, Demi deserves to finally know what it feels like to belong somewhere. To have favorite windows, forbidden countertops, a person to follow around and an entire home in which to conduct whatever extremely important business she has been handling all this time.
