DAVID ROSE

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE REGARDING DAVID ROSE
David Rose is a puppy who has somehow combined the emotional range of a Shakespearean actor with the impulse control of a shopping cart rolling downhill.
Like his Schitt’s Creek namesake, David has very strong opinions.
He is just still working on identifying what those opinions are.
David wanted us to make sure to tell everyone that he absolutely wants friends.
Unfortunately, he has developed the interesting strategy of introducing himself by launching his entire body into the conversation.
He calls it enthusiasm.
Everyone else calls it, “Ew, David.”
We’ve begun documenting recent interactions.
Current findings include:
David sees another dog.
David becomes excited.
David immediately forgets every social skill he has ever practiced.
David enters the chat at approximately thirty miles per hour.
The meeting concludes.
Progress is being made.
Slowly.
Very slowly.
To his credit, David genuinely means well and his heart is enormous.
His self awareness is just still buffering and we’re working on it.
David is funny, chunky, affectionate, endlessly entertaining, and completely convinced every situation can be improved with additional enthusiasm.
Behavioral consultants describe him as eager.
Our staff sometimes describes him as “a lot.”
Both statements are correct.
David isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for a family that understands puppyhood is messy, social skills take practice, and sometimes the sweetest dogs are simply the ones with the biggest feelings.
Qualifications for an adopter include:
An appreciation for wildly dramatic entrances.
An understanding that “inside voice” should probably also apply to body language.
A willingness to teach a tiny bulldozer that friendship does not always require full contact.
Willingness to fall completely in love with a puppy whose heart is much bigger than his manners.
David Rose may be a work in progress, but one thing is already perfectly clear. He’s simply the best.
