PLEASE DO NOT EVER LEAVE AN ANIMAL AT OUR LOCATION UNATTENDED OR WHILE WE ARE CLOSED.Â
Found/Stray Pets
Did you find a stray, a lost animal that is clearly a pet, or an animal in distress? If you are unable to safely handle the situation yourself, calling local animal control is an important first step. Animal control officers are trained to safely capture and transport animals that may be scared, injured, or aggressive. They also have access to resources like microchip scanners, shelter networks that can help reunite the pet with its owner, or safely transporting them to a local shelter/rescue.
You can also check out the RI Lost Pets Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/RI.Lost.Pets, for postings of lost pets.
Owner Surrenders
If you need to surrender your pet, please contact us directly at HeartofRIadoption@gmail.com or by phone at (401) 467-3670. Please leave a voicemail and a team member will get back to you ASAP.
