My husband & I wanted to adopt a dog, completely new to the process. EGAL is fairly nearby so we paid a visit. There was little, elderly Bruce. After we did a meet & greet (thank you Nicole!) we set an adoption date. Tammy, the director was extremely open about Bruce’s various health needs and his background. He’s now Boo and has been with us for 3 days, owning the house, and us. A very wonderful experience all around.

“We adopted our sweet five-month-old puppy, Lilou (formerly Godiva), from this incredible rescue, and we’re beyond grateful. The staff and volunteers are clearly devoted and compassionate—it’s humbling to see how much love and care they pour into each animal. The adoption process was thorough (yes, a little slow at times while we waited to hear back), but it’s clear they’re doing everything they can to ensure the best fit for each pet. That level of care takes time, and in the end, it brought us our perfect girl. Thank you for all that you do—your work makes a world of difference!”
