DORIS

PLEASE BE ADVISED: DORIS HAS STUNNING EYES AND SHE KNOWS HOW TO USE THEM. We would like to begin by saying that whatever Doris wants, she can have.We did not make this decision willingly. We looked into her eyes and the rest is history.
Doris is about 3 years old and has somehow perfected the exact facial expression required to make you question every boundary you have ever set for yourself.
No dogs on the couch?
Doris would like you to reconsider.
No sharing snacks?
Interesting policy. Doris has some follow up questions.
You were planning to get up and accomplish something today?
Look at her again.

Underneath this blatant emotional manipulation is an incredibly sweet, gentle girl who has apparently been studying for the position of beloved family dog and is wildly overqualified.

Doris loves affection, is wonderful with kids, gets along great with other dogs and appears genuinely delighted by the opportunity to be somebody’s best friend.

She is the kind of girl who makes it very easy to imagine her already living in your house. Following you from room to room. Curling up nearby. Looking at you with those ridiculous eyes until you inevitably tell her she is the best girl in the world for approximately the 47th time that day.

We do have one important item on Doris’s résumé that needs clarification.

Cats? Doris has respectfully declined.
She is looking for a home without them.
Doris is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and ready for a family of her own.
We would tell you to come meet her and make a rational, carefully considered decision.

Unfortunately, we have seen the eyes. You’re on your own.
