DO NOT LEAVE AN ANIMAL AT OUR LOCATION UNATTENDED – THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!
Found/Stray PetsFound/Stray Pets
Found a stray who seems to be a lost pet? Check out the RI Lost Pets Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/RI.Lost.Pets, for postings of lost pets.
PLEASE be careful about approaching any unknown animal, particularly one that is injured or sick. We prefer that no animal be left out in the elements, but we also want to keep all Good Samaritans safe.
Watch an animal for cues: if he/she is biting, growling, hissing, tucking his/her tail between the legs (dog) or wagging a tail (cat), or showing other signs of aggression, be sure to call Animal Control for assistance!

Help Us Find Loving Homes for Rhode Island’s Rescue Animals
As a volunteer-run organization, we rely on compassionate individuals like you. Whether you have an hour or a weekend, your time makes a difference. From walking dogs and socializing cats to fundraising, fostering, and behind-the-scenes support; every role helps save lives.
Every paw deserves a second chance. At EGAPL Heart of RI, we’re dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need. But we can’t do it without your help.
