Meet Thyme. He turned 1 on 5/15/24 and is a Lab mixed breed. We are heartbroken that he spent his 1st birthday in a cage instead of in a forever home. We really need help finding him a family. Some dogs do a lot better than others in a shelter setting but this poor guy is really struggling. His siblings are both thriving in foster homes and he would really love a break from the noise. Please consider changing his life by coming in to apply to foster or adopt him. Thyme is a very affectionate boy once he knows you and feels safe. His new family will need to have patience with him while he adjusts to life outside of the shelter. He requires a home with a fully fenced in yard so he can play and explore safely. He will be SO worth the time and effort and is going to make an amazing best friend. He would love a home with another dog (pending a successful meet and greet) and we think it would definitely help with his confidence He is up to date on vaccinations.

HUGO
Hugo is doing his best to hang in there while he waits for a foster or forever home. He needs a hero and he really needs it fast! Please read the entire post to understand his situation: If you have been following us you know that Hugo is one of the longest residents we have EVER had and has waited over a YEAR for the right forever home. Hugo was born on 8/7/20 and is a large mixed breed. He needs a VERY particular adopter. He is looking for a single female home only. Unfortunately, he cannot under any circumstance be placed in a home with men (he has been ok with men in passing and did well at a Santa photoshoot). The reason we are requiring a single female home is because Hugo has had issues bonding with one human instead of both. We are trying to remove ANY issue possible to keep Hugo from being returned again. We think this is unfortunately a non-negotiable for him. He also requires a home without other animals or children. We realize that such a specific home is way harder to come by and that is why we are begging for help networking him so the right person hopefully sees his plea for help. With all that said, Hugo is really a good dog who just needs to find the right person for him. Our team is 90% female and everyone that knows or has worked with Hugo here adores him. Going on adventures is one of his favorite things—long walks, car rides, and exploring new & quiet places make him the happiest. He does well on a leash and is a very smart dog. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations and has been neutered.
PARKER AND PORTER
Meet Parker & Porter. These bonded brothers are looking for a forever home together. They have been waiting SO LONG for the right people to give them a chance. We are begging you to read their bio, share their posts, and help us get them out of cages. They are looking for a family without others animals or children. Parker & Porter were born on 12/18/18 and are a very handsome Hound mixed breed. They both do well on a leash and really enjoy walking around the neighborhood with our volunteers. They are regulars at Olympia Fitness and look forward to pressing their noses up to the glass and saying hello.
These boys have been through a lot. They need a little time to warm up initially but it’s nothing the right people can’t fix with a little love and patience. We promise that they are going to be worth the time & effort for the right adopter. They are up to date on vaccinations and have been neutered.
ROSEMARY
Rosemary is STILL waiting for a forever home. She turned 1 on 5/15 and she is a Lab mixed breed. She has been thriving in her foster home. She has become much more confident, has learned several new commands, has mastered potty training, and has even started to approach new people on her own. Fostering really saves & CHANGES lives! She would love a home with another dog (pending a successful meet and greet) and has had no issues with living with cats. She requires a home without children with a fully fenced in back yard so she can explore and play safely. Once she feels safe, she will shower you with tail wags, sloppy kisses, and her favorite thing of all—snuggles. She is very sweet and loves to play. She is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed. Rosemary just needs someone willing to take a chance on her, give her a little patience, and to continue to teach her. Come and meet her during adoption hours. She will be the best choice you'll ever make.
BLONDIE
Meet Blondie. She just turned 1 and we were heartbroken that we couldn’t give her the only gift she asked for: a forever home. She should be celebrating milestones surrounded by a loving family, but instead, she spent it in a kennel. Our staff is absolutely amazing and our volunteer team gets her out for long walks and play time but the rescue is not a home. Blondie is a gorgeous, female, Lab mix. She is happiest anytime she’s running in the yard or soaking up affection from people she trusts. An active household would be perfect for her fun puppy energy. She is also a big fan of long naps and a good cuddle session. She gets along well with other dogs (pending a successful meet and greet) but has not been cat tested yet. She is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed.
